Children of Light

Description

"You once walked in darkness, but now you are light in the LORD. Live as children of light."
-Ephesians 5:8

:bulletblack:This is one of my favorite verses for two reasons.
-It shows us that Jesus sees us as light. He sees us as His Holy, ordained, chosen people. He loves us enough to tell us that.
-Not only are we light in God's eyes, but we are supposed to be the light of the world in this ever changing climate, in this darkness.

:bulletblack:We as Christian are called to be "Fishers of Men". That calls for us to be lights, to be witnesses, to display God's love through our testimony and help others. There will always be darkness, but remember, they're can't be evil without out good, there can't be light with out darkness. It wouldn't be called light now would it?

:bulletblack:For some people who don't really know what this means I'll try to explain. When God says the word "darkness" he's talking about sin, bondage, addictions, temptations. Anything that would consider you dirty, unclean, unholy. The best part, is he turns it around and gives us hope! He says "but now you are light in the LORD. Live as Children of light." We no longer have to live in bondage, no longer do we have to wallow in sin. We are free! We walk in his light! We are HIS children of light. Becoming that, means he has washed us, made us clean
